2011: Started 29 games before sitting out the rest of the season due to injury, batting .255 with 26 hits, 12 runs and 11 RBI during that span... Opened the season with a 3-for-4 performance against Sacramento State on Feb. 20, which included a home run... Put together a five-game hitting streak, starting with a 1-for-4 outing against San Francisco on Feb. 26... Went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI against Utah on Mar. 10... Followed that with a 2-for-4 performance against San Jose State, scoring two runs... Stole two bases on the year.
2010: Posted .292 average (62-of-212) with 29 runs, 15 doubles and 3 home runs... Knocked in 35 RBI... Scored four runs against Cal State Northridge on a 4-for-6 performance that included a home run (5/2)... Hit first collegiate homer in a 3-for-5 outing against Fresno State Mar. 28... Final home run of the season was a solo shot on his only hit against UC Santa Barbara May 21... Rode an eight-game hitting streak starting with a 2-for-4 performance against UC Irvine Apr. 25... Went 16-for-33 (.485) with seven runs and five RBI during the streak... Closed out the season hitting cleanly in the final four straight games.

LOS GATOS HS '08: Earned All-De Anza League first-team honors as a junior and senior, after capturing honorable mention as a sophomore... Picked up first-team All-Central Coast Section acclaim in 2008... Helped team to consecutive DAL pennants in 2006 and 2007, including a CCS title in 2006... Head coach was former Aggie outfielder Brad Sanfilippo... Batted .477 with 17 doubles, 4 homers and .590 on-base average as a senior... Nabbed MVP honors in North-South all-star game... Selected to All-Bay World Series first team... Played for Los Gatos All-Net from 2002-03, helping team claim national runner-up finish.
PERSONAL: Born in San Jose, Calif.... Majoring in environmental horticulture & urban forestry... Parents are Dennis & Deb Politi... Hopes to play professional baseball then start a career in construction after graduating from UC Davis.
